Transformational Leadership and Employee Creativity in an Information Technology (IT) Enterprises: Moderating Role of Openness to Experience

The creativity and innovation in an Information Technology (IT) industry are essential for sustainable success, gaining competitive advantages, as well as is vitalfor the survival of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). An employee is the primary source of creativity in any organisation. Although employees are involved in the daily operating task, the style of leadership caninfluencethe generation and execution of creative ideas. Furthermore, an employee's own inclination towards creativity and openness to experience play a role in enhancing the creative environment.However, the role of transformational leadership dimensions in employee creativity as well as the roleemployees' traits of openness to experience,had not been studied abundantly. The lack of study of the relationship of four dimensions of transformational leadership individually with employee creativity will be fulfilled through this study.The focus of this research is on examining the relationship between transformational leadership and employee creativitythrough quantitative researchoffourdimensions of transformational leadership. Furthermore, studying how the employee'sopenness to experience moderate the relation between transformational leadership and employee creativity is examined in this study.

The research design is cross-sectional quantitative research where data will be collected from a survey questionnaire. The survey questionnaire will besentby using survey monkey to the employee and manager of Sydney based IT SMEs. The data will be collected on the response based on fourconstructs of transformational leadership.The collected data will be tested through regression analysis using SPSSversion 27, and the hypothesis will be tested. The test result will be interpreted to check whether the transformational leadership has a positive relationship with employee creativity and whether the relationship is moderated byemployee's openness to experience.

Impact of Covid-19 on a Small-Medium Businesses

Change is essential for the survival of businesses. Change management professionals have underlined the need for organisational change and the need to involve employees in the decision-making process. Although change management is a relevant issue in today’s literature, the success or failure of change management processes depends on the choice of leadership style. The success rate of the change process has significantly been lower than expectations. This study focuses on studying communication withinSMEs (Small and Medium Enterprise), examining change readiness, and the choice of leadership style to justify the success or failure of change management. The main goal of this qualitative study is to explore change management strategies adopted by SMEs,because of the impact of COVID-19. The conceptual framework for this study is based on transformational leadership. This framework applied in the past would encourage and motivate employees towards achieving common organisational goals. Based on this notion, it is deemed that this framework can benefit change processes within SMEs. The target population consists of 15 participants. These participants will be interviewed using semi-structured questions through an online platform to maintain social distance. The data collected through the interviews will then aid data analysis process to derive a positive or a negative outcome of the study. The study also intended to make use of NVivo software for data analysis; however, a lack of experience in using the software can be a potential limitation of the course. The narrow scope of study focuses specifically on communications within SMEs to explore this phenomenon. As a result, the research only revolves around factors and themes affecting small and medium businesses.The findingsof this study will assist in identifying strategies that help SMEs survive and successfully implement organisational change. Furthermore, the study intends to explore areas of growth such as a change in leadership styles, structural changes in SMEs, technological improvement, and process developments.

Good Governance in Oromia: Challenges and Strategies (Major Cities in Arsi and East Shewa zone in focus, Ethiopia)

The main objective of this studywas to identify the level of good governance with respect to its founding pillar elements in Oromia Arsi and East shewa zone selected urban cities. The key elements of good governance considered in the study were accountability, transparency, participation, responsiveness, control of corruption, operational effectiveness and efficiency, equity building and inclusive, and consensus orientation,. The study followed a surveyand focus group discussion. The data were collected from four selected cities i.e. Adama, Asella, Batu, and Shashemenne. Analyses were based on primary data generated through structured questionnaire for each key elements of good governance. Focus group discussion was also conducted with selected informant groups. Descriptive analyses were specified to identify the current practice of good governance. The focus group discussion data were subject to thematic analyses and triangulated with the findings from survey analyses. The pillars of good governance such as: accountability, participation, responsiveness, responsibility, efficiency and effectiveness, equity and consensus orientation, elements observed at low level within the selected city administration. Top priority problems were identified for respective cities. Fraud with respect to land administration and project authorization are among the top source of corruption. The study proposed pre-symptom actions and after symptom actions to curb corruption and establish good governance within the city administration.

The Effect of Occupational Health and Safety, Work Accidents and Skills of Construction Workers On the Quality of Life of Construction Industry Workers In Indonesia

In Indonesia, the construction and maintenance of government buildings will continue so that every construction company that works with the Indonesian government must follow the rules set by the government in the construction legislation in Indonesia so that the results to be achieved can be in accordance with what is expected. The low welfare and quality of life of construction workers makes the quality of the workforce in Indonesia also low, one of the reasons is due to the high cost of access and the lack of time and opportunities for these non-formal workers to get education and training in order to improve their skills / skills in the construction sector. Occupational safety and occupational health (K3) construction in its application in Indonesia by construction companies is still not well implemented This research was conducted to see occupational safety and health (K3) construction, work accidents and construction workers' skills have a major influence on the quality of life of workers. The method used is a literature study, data collection is in the form of a survey to construction industry workers in West Java,. Overall, this section discusses research findings that have been analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Descriptive statistical analysis that has been carried out found that workers 'perspectives on occupational health, occupational accidents, worker skills and workers' quality of life are at a high level. Meanwhile, the employee's perspective on job security is at a high enough level. Furthermore, the One-Way ANOVA analysis also shows that there is no influence of age, experience and type of construction work (structure, architecture, mechanical electricity) on the quality of life of construction workers in Indonesia. Multiple regression analysis also found that occupational accidents and occupational health have an effect on the improvement of construction workers' skills. This analysis also shows that workers' health and worker skills affect the quality of life of construction workers. Pearson's correlation analysis also found that the relationship between the variables of occupational health factors, worker skills and work accidents on the quality of life of construction workers and the strength of the relationship was weak.

The Future of Work in Remote and Regional Communities

Tourism initiatives on the part of Destination NSW are constantly evolving, including efforts to promote Aboriginal and Outback Tourism. However, the NSW Outback is underrepresented in regard to receiving its share of tourists in comparison to the reported growth. Research in this paper is derived by reference to reports by Destination NSW (DNSW) calling for increased Indigenous and Outback Tourism, Statistics from Tourism Research Australia (TRA) as well as other professional academic papers supporting such measures in general. The concerns expressed by these Indigenous stakeholders include the requirement for incentives to establish newer forms of tourism and small enterprises for their improved economic benefit.

Finally, this paper lists recommendations as calls to action which would lead indigenous stakeholders in the NSW Outback to more involvement in the global tourism trade.
