The democratization of healthcare is a fundamental principle aimed at ensuring equitable access to essential treatments for all individuals, regardless of their socio-economic status. Generic medicines play a pivotal role in realizing this vision by offering affordable alternatives to brandname drugs. This paper explores the accessibility of generic medicines as a cornerstone of healthcare democratization. By examining economic, regulatory, and therapeutic dimensions, it highlights the critical role of generics in expanding access to essential treatments, improving medication adherence, and reducing healthcare disparities.
